Would You Be a Spotlighted Mathematician at RBES?
Help our students see how math is relevant in our community.

This week’s Parent Spotlight Mathematician is Stephanie Lance, mother of Savannah in 1st grade.  Ms. Lance is a nurse and uses a lot of math daily while caring for her patients.  A couple examples include: precise measurements for medication dosages and heart rate/cardiac exertion calculations during exercise stress tests.  She believes that math is a powerful subject because math calculations are fun challenges and finding a precise answer is interesting.

Do you have a job that involves a lot of math?  Please complete the survey link and send a recent picture of yourself to our math support teacher.  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BKWQ6PX

We want our students to see themselves as part of our community and to understand that math is a powerful subject from parents’ perspectives.  Should you have any questions, please contact our math support teacher at sorsha_mulroe@hcpss.org.

This film explores the causes, symptoms and effects of anxiety and stress, and encourages youth and their families to seek help.
