School Security and Safety
School security and safety is the upmost priority for our students and our staff members.
When you visit the school we ask that you come directly to the front office to sign in and receive a badge that you must wear while in our school.  You will need your driver’s license each time that you visit the school.  Our staff members are trained to look for the appropriate badges to ensure that we know who is in our building at all times.  We appreciate your assistance with this as we work together to make Running Brook Elementary School a safe place for all.

We Need You!
GT Parent Rep Needed! This position would represent Running Brook at the county level, advocating and making decisions for the GT needs of our school! Contact Paige Zimmer or Michele Lerner if you are interested!

Ravens 60 Day Challenge
The Ravens Play 60 Challenge is running from September 23 - October 7th.  Students were sent home on Monday, September 23rd with a purple tracking sheet in order to track the number of minutes of physical activity outside of school they participated in each day.  The students can count recess if they were physically active at recess, but can't count PE minutes.  The purple tracking sheets are to be handed in on Monday, October 7th to Mr. Murphy, Mr. Hiel, or the students classroom teacher.  The Elementary or Middle School with the most total minutes of physical activity will win a pep rally from the Baltimore Ravens.  E-mail Mr. Murphy (david_murphy@hcpss.org) with any questions.

Donations Needed!
Shoe Boxes Needed! If you have any shoe boxes you are not using, the students in the GT Cipher Seminar would love to put them to use. Please send in boxes labeled to Paige Zimmer. Your recyclables are our treasure!

Would You Be a Spotlighted Mathematician at RBES?
Help our students see how math is utilized in our community.

Do you have a job that involves a lot of math?  Would you be willing to be a spotlighted mathematician?  This would require completing the survey below and sending a picture to our math support teacher.  We want our students to see themselves as part of our community and to understand that mathematics is a powerful subject from parents' perspectives.  Should you have any questions, please contact our math support teacher at sorsha_mulroe@hcpss.org. Thank you!
