NEWS & EVENTS

RBES 2nd Annual Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe

Mark your calendars because the Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe is next week!

On Thursday, December 6th, (5:30-8:00 pm) students will have the opportunity to prepare for the holidays by shopping for their loved ones!  Staff will assist your children as they pick out that "perfect" gift, while parents have the opportunity to do some shopping in the cafeteria, visiting several local vendors and crafters!
We hope to see you there!

Enter for a Chance to Win New Bike!!!

Here’s your chance for new wheels for the holidays.  We are raffling off bikes (20 inch wheels – for riders 4’2” to 5’) at the Penguin Patch.  Tickets are $1 each or 7 for $5.  You don’t need to be present to win.  100% of the proceeds will go Running Brook’s Blessing in a Backpack Program.  More than half of our students rely on eating breakfast and lunch at Running Brook 5 days a week.  This program sends home a bag of kid friendly food and snacks on Fridays for the weekend.

Want to find out more about the Blessings Program?  Contact Mrs. Frank for information on how to donate or to register your student to be a part of it.

Look for the form in your student's folder if you would like to purchase tickets in advance, stop by the front office or purchase tickets at the Penguin Patch.

Toys for Tots at Running Brook Elementary School

Running Brook Elementary School will, once again, host the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Toys for Tots Event on the morning of December 24th. If you would like to attend, please contact Mrs. Hartlove and arrange to pick up a pass from our front office. This pass will verify that you have children enrolled at Running Brook and will allow you to attend the event and choose gifts, without your children being present.
