Summer Registration hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday thru Friday during the summer.

The following documents are required to enroll your child in HCPSS:

• Student's birth verification
• Proof of parental relationship, custody, or guardianship. If applicable, bring legal proof of custody (court order).
• Parent picture ID: driver’s license, passport, MVA identification or other legal form of photographic identification.
• Signed origianl current lease or deed
• Current utility bill with name and address (non-cellular telephone, gas and electric, cable bill issued in the last 45 days.)
• Studnet's proof of Immunizations
  • Students who have never attended a Howard County public school have certain health documents to submit with their enrollment paperwork. Learn more about these forms and find additional forms for diabetic students, students with allergies, and student medications.

New Students

Students who have never attended a HCPSS school must be registered by their custodial parent (biological, adoptive, legal guardian). You may begin the registration process online. Visit https://www.hcpss.org/enroll/ to enroll your child.

New Kindergarten Students

Children must be 5 years old by September 1 in order to enroll in kindergarten. Please note that in order to register for kindergarten, students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2019.

Prekindergarten Registration

Families interested in pre-kindergarten for students turning 4 years old by September 1, 2019, may begin submitting applications starting February 25th. Admission to pre-kindergarten is determined according to MSDE guidelines, which may be viewed at https://www.hcpss.org/schools/pre-k-programs/.
