New PreKindergarten Students

The Pre-K program is a high quality, early childhood instructional program designed to support early learning and school readiness. It aims to provide experiences that foster children’s academic, social, emotional and physical development. The Maryland State Department of Education requires that the Pre-K program be available to students who meet priority criteria. Parents of children who will be 4 by September 1, 2020  should apply.  All application information is kept confidential and reviewed only by school staff.

How to Apply to HCPSS PreK

Parent(s)/guardian(s) of prospective Pre-K students will now have two options for submitting their Pre-K application and beginning the enrollment process.

Option 1

  1. Parent(s)/guardian(s) submit a Pre-K Application via email to Helen_Kwon@hcpss.org for decision based on eligibility guidelines.
  2. If accepted, parent(s)/guardian(s) can begin the enrollment process online and upload their program acceptance letter as proof of income.

Option 2

  1. Parent(s)/guardian(s) begin the Online Registration Process at https://www.hcpss.org/enroll/.
  2. Once parent(s)/guardian(s) submit their information and documentation through the online portal, their information goes into the school queue to determine if students meet first priority criteria.

Please contact our Registering Secretary, Mrs. Ott, at Lakesha_Ott@hcpss.org if you have any questions about enrolling your child.
