Mrs. Bailey is turning 100!!!

MRS. BAILEY IS TURNING 100!

Happy 100th birthday Mrs. Bailey! On Saturday, February 3rd, the guardian angel of Running Brook, Mrs. Vivian Bailey is turning 100 years old! RBES is lucky, because in lieu of presents, Mrs. Bailey asks people to donate supplies and money to Running Brook so that our students have what they need to learn. Mrs. Bailey has received several awards because of her generosity and dedication to the community, including being named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women, the Choose Civility award from Howard County, the Distinguished Black Marylander Award from Towson University, and the Friends of Education Award from the Howard County Board of Education. Mrs. Bailey even has a star named after her by the Running Brook PTA, with a certificate showing the new star’s name and telescopic coordinates. It’s registered in the International Star Registry’s vault in Switzerland!

If your family would like to wish Mrs. Bailey a happy birthday, you can do so by participating in one of the activities that she loves. In addition to helping RBES, Mrs. Bailey also collects supplies for U.S. Troops abroad. To honor Mrs. Bailey, your child can bring in a postcard for a soldier on Monday to help her celebrate her birthday.
